Even the no nonsense dialogue was insanely savage. The use of blood and gore is ridiculously insane, great makeup effects. Some technical excellence from Evans, who performed such a great tracking shot that consists of going through 3 different cars in a chase scene. Their objective is to find the drug lord who resides on the 15th floor and bring him to justice. They are encountered by Andi and Rama in the stairwell, and. The action set pieces were creative, from decimating prisoners in mud to a frantic car chase in downtown Jakarta.majestic. The police are lead by an over anxious Lieutenant who leads his squad of mostly rookies into the apartment complex where they are quickly over matched and out gunned. It turns out that Lieutenant Wahyu was corrupt, but Wahyu takes Tama hostage so he can get out. Evidently, watching this is releasing my inner murderous personality. The choreography was perfection, I've never shouted "YEAH! STAB HIM!!" so much. It is directed by John Dahl and stars Benjamin Bratt, James Franco, Connie Nielsen, Marton Csokas, Joseph Fiennes with Motoki Kobayashi and Cesar Montano. This, as an action film, is absolutely insane. So the long runtime and slow paced first half are my only complaints. Could've easily established the power hungry Uco, who has major daddy issues, in a solid 20 minutes as opposed to an hour. This did not need to be 150 minutes long, at all. So in this sequel we follow our sole survivor, Rama, who must go undercover in order to protect his family from his new hardcore reputation that is making him popular in the criminal underworld. Martial arts have never looked this thrilling since.ever. Every kick, every punch and every head smash was filmed to absolute perfection. The film opens by introducing rookie cop Rama ( Iko Uwais ), who recites his morning prayers on a prayer rug, undergoes a grueling physical workout and then tenderly kisses his pregnant wife goodbye. Ohhhhh myyyyyy lorddddd I couldn't keep me eyes off those fight scenes. If your a fan of action films, there isn't any better out there now or any even close in decades past.The Raid 2 has the most insane choreography I've ever seen. Story wise it isn't anything great but at the same time it's better than most martial arts films due to interesting twists and being incredibly well paced to before you know it its over and you want more. It's not your typical ultra clean fighting that has been done to death but something that looks real and desperate at times as people try to survive outnumbered. I've seen other great foreign action films like Ong-Bak, The Protector, and Ip man but The Raid surpasses them by highlighting a martial art style not shown in any recent films. The Raid proves again how far behind American action films are. The action is a mix of shootouts, hand to hand weapons, and mostly good ol' fashioned fists. If your seeing this movie, it's because you want to see action and The Raid hit every mark. 'The Raid: Redemption' is currently available to stream on Netflix, Apple TV and Hulu / Cinemax for rent, to buy and to buy on Google Play. It is a feature-length film with a runtime of 1h 41min. It has a great rating on IMDb: 7.6 stars out of 10. Rarely our my high expectation met but The Raid surpassed it. 'The Raid: Redemption' adventure movie produced in France and Indonesia and released in 2012. After seeing the trailer, I knew I had to see this movie.
